The Origin
​It can be imagined that at the beginning of time, after the Earth shook awake and all life emerged from the darkest sea, a wise woman was born amidst it all.

As she connected to the original womb of the world, the ocean and the primordial stirring within it, the intelligence of the one who holds space for birth and its aftermath came online.

There is a lineage that belongs to the very beginning of everything…

There is wisdom and cellular knowing that has
spiraled within women who hold this lineage.

When you feel it, you know.
An ancient pulse that pulls you to the work.
Some walk their path immediately.
Some let it linger and build.

All wise women of birth, of the Earth, of children and community —
are apprentices of Mother medicine.
The Call
What has been missing as time has passed and industrialization has amassed, is the space, time, and container for Remembering the time on this planet to return to one another, to the quintessential skills of birth that serve both the whole world, and all its villages, alike.

Radical responsibility as Matriarchs of a planet spinning out of resonance with the blueprint is being felt by the lineage keepers.

The Container
This one-year container is not for learning the basics. It is for those who already hold the knowledge of the sanctity of Birthwork in their bones. It is a pull back in. A return, a rectification, and a responsibility.

There was a time when we would have walked alongside generational wise women who held our birthing knowledge. A traditional birth education meant years of following in the footsteps of a mentoring wise woman, learning ancestral wisdom and the traditional ways of supporting families through their childbearing years.
We will not be working within the current medical model of routine clinical care, instead, we will be working through an ancestral model of traditional birth support and family-directed care throughout the childbearing year.
How We Will Work
Together we will sit in circle, ceremony, soft trust, and council. Communicating, conversing, and collaborating. We will consciously peer into the practicalities of how we serve singularly and as a whole, and bring light to the mysticism that we are each born to respect and protect.

In virtual preceptorship you will walk through the childbearing year drawing on generations of birth wisdom. You will learn through study, birth stories, practical skills, integrative healing, and intuitive responses to birth.
​
This is not an online course with recorded content. Together as a group, we meet weekly to discuss and learn through a rich series of topics. Working through births and birth stories, practical skills and integrative offerings, studying how traditional birth support was once passed along generation to generation.

This offering is practical learning to be enrolled in after students have attended to the majority of the Matrona academics. We have found that at this point, many students who wish to progress further find it difficult to find a mentor who aligns strongly with the Matrona values.
You were never meant to proceed alone.
In this Year Two of studies, we put the Matrona knowledge and wisdom into practice with story, ceremony, support, and a deeper dive into physiology and integrative care.

Weekly live classes with Becky
Live classes four times monthly. Meeting are Wednesdays at 12-4 PM MDT throughout the twelve-month journey.
Homeopathy & Integrative Mentor
Learn practical tips to support healthy pregnancy and labor and what can be done to prevent certain outcomes.
Private Community and Support
Cohort members are invited to join a What's App group for asking questions, sharing insights, and getting ideas from cohort members real time.
Self Care and Ceremony
Participate and learn to invite in the sacred and ceremonial aspects throughout the childbearing year.
Opportunities to Share Birth Stories
A cohort member will be invited to share a birth story aligned with the monthly theme. Sacred Circle Peer Reviews will also be held throughout the year as an opportunity to learn from the births we are supporting.

Frequent opportunities to dive into and strengthen the intuitive wisdom held within.
Real-life birth wisdom
Becky brings hundreds of births into the room, sharing what she has learned from being with families through many different expressions of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.
