| At this time, the practice of traditional midwifery is illegal in North Carolina. At The House of La Matrona, we do not practice midwifery. Rather, we teach the theory and skills necessary to practice midwifery. Students should investigate the laws concerning midwifery in the areas in which they expect to practice. Reference to the practice of clinical skills refers to therapeutic massage, Qi healing, homeopathy, and other disciplines taught as complementary healing modalities. |
