By Request: A Homeopathy Intensive

 

Starting Saturday, September 1st and continuing through Tuesday, October 4th, The Matrona is offering a Homeopathy Intensive with approximately 118 hours of homeopathic training. 

This class will get you up and running... whether you are using homeopathy for your family or in combination with your healing practice.  If you are a mom or dad who wants to add homeopathy as a way of life and healing, this class will give you the knowledge and basics to do that.

 

If you are an herbalist or a massage therapist, a psychologist, a midwife or doula, acupuncturist, nurse...and you want to add a working knowledge of homeopathy to your practice, this class will give you viable information and confidence to use homeopathy successfully.

 

If you have a smattering of homeopathy and want to uplevel... if you want to be fluent in homeopathy but are not interested in attending a lengthy study course, this program can be of great value.

It's not too short, not too long... short enough to get the basics and be doable...

long enough to get deep and be thorough when it comes to emergencies, acutes, understanding miasms, and working with various body systems.

What you will get is an overview of medicine, and a clear understanding of how homeopathic medicine fits into the medicine of tomorrow.  You will get a clear understanding of school of thought, homeopathic principles, potencies, dosage etc... and you will absolutely learn how to begin using homeopathy in your practice and in your life.

Materia Medica studies on the major polycrest remedies and at least four hours on the following body systems and topics:

• The Origins of Western Medicine -- 4 hours


• The Rediscovery of Homeopathy by Samuel Hahnemann -- 4 hours


• Basic Tenets of Homeopathy including Like Cures Like, Dilution, Potentizing -- 6 hours


• Homeopathy and Quantum Physics -- 2 hours


• Levels of Prescribing and Homeopathic Vocabulary -- 4 hours


• Taking a Case...The Time Spiral...Case Management -- 8 hours


• Miasms and Immunity -- 8 hours


• Homeopathy for Emergencies -- 8 hours


• Treating Acutes...Fevers and Infections -- 4 hours


• Homeopathic Pediatrics -- 8 hours


• WomanCare in Homeopathy -- 10 hours


• The Homeopathic Perspective on Cancer -- 4 hours


• Treating Alcoholism with Homeopathy -- 2 hours


• Archetypes in Homeopathy...Studies in the Materia Medica -- 8 hours


• Homeopathic Psychology and Nervous Disorders -- 8 hours


• Remedies for the Eye, Ears, Nose and Throat -- 4 hours


• Musculo-skeletal and Skin Remedies -- 4 hours


• Gastro-intestinal and Organopathic Remedies -- 4 hours


• Homeopathic Pharmacy -- 6 hours

Weekdays - 9 am to 1 pm - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

September 4th, 5th and 6th

September 11th, 12th and 13th

September 18th, 19th and 20th

September 25th, 26th and 27th

October 2nd, 3rd and 4th

 

Weekends -- 9:30 to 5:30 - Saturday and Sunday

September 1st and 2nd

September 15th and 16th

September 29th and 30th

 

No class on Mondays or Fridays

 

All students are required to participate in one three-hour study group each week.  Case studies are presented during this time. 

At the conclusion of this course you will receive a certificate from The Matrona acknowledging your hours of study in Classical Homeopathy.  You will also receive an exam with 60 case studies for continued study.

Recommended Book:

Homeopathic Medical Repertory by Robin Murphy

You may be able to find a copy for around $90 or less on eBay.  You may also want to try www.half.com and Amazon.com's used book option.  This is a modern homeopathic tool, with reference to everything you might need to look up.  It will be the only Repertory you need.
