At The Matrona, we offer a blend of academic and intuitive studies. As quantum physics begins to be accessible, we realize that many of the skills and ideas that were once in the realm of mysterious or miraculous are actually authentic and organic to our understanding of reality.
We pursue these skills to inform our study of life and midwifery.
These classes are the places where we discuss and study the ephemeral and intuitive areas of midwifery and life.
This is the place where I expect our class to ebb and flow the most. I welcome discussion, stories, venting. If any individual or cultural birth wounds come up, we can be aware and attempt to shift them. We can demonstrate a model of healing that works with communication and courage to transform the 'us and them' to the 'all of us.' In these sessions and in our mediation sessions we can use our class as a lab...focusing and allowing whatever comes...as we delve into the myriad aspects of the midwife, the charge she carries, and the care she provides.
