The Quantum paradigm is the melding of conscious birth with undisturbed birth. It includes
the respect and co-creation of the holistic paradigm yet opens the doorway to soul-level
connections and greater levels of empowerment for families and their caregivers.
We have begun to understand the significance and the necessity of not disturbing the mother in the
process of childbirth. We recognize the value of conscious birthing. Now let's look at how this model
unfolds... for the family and for the caregiver.
As mothers, we deserve the options to birth according to our own unique choices. Let’s discuss how these
myriad of choices can unfold and let’s understand the hormonal and neurological perspectives relating to
undisturbed birth.
As caregivers, we have more to offer in the realm of childbirth than we are providing now. Our knowledge
goes much deeper and our souls assure us of this inherent truth. Let's bring this wisdom into practice.
We invite midwives, doulas, mothers, massage therapists, herbalists, EFT practitioners, chiropractors, yoga
instructors-- anyone in the realms of caregiving-- to join us in this deeper understanding of birth.

PRACTICE IN THE UNDISTURBED PARADIGM:
How does a midwife practice in the realms of an paradigm that does not disturb the mother? How does the
birthing family claim an undisturbed birthing experience? How can the doula facilitate mother and midwife?
How does a caregiver recognize and address complications, yet maintain a safe and fulfilling environment
throughout the entire childbirth continuum? How does a midwife dispel fear? How does she deal with the
fear inherent in the current politics surrounding birth.

During our weekends together we'll also explore such relevant topics as:
WOUNDOLOGY
Do we re-create our personal patterns in the birthing arena? Let’s explore this potent topic and articulate
personal, cultural and global wounds. Let’s articulate the Birth Wound with integrity and take a frank look at
what we construct in the world of birth and midwifery today. Then, we'll explore the evolutionary imperative
to heal and let go of ineffective patterns.
POSITION, POWER AND PRIVILEGE
As caregivers, one way to serve others is by examining our use of power and privilege. Honest discussion
of this topic allows wise use of our influence with women and families. It’s surprising how we often prefer
not to acknowledge our position for fear of losing it or misusing it. Let’s open the door to authentic
exploration of this topic and allow greater understanding to prevail.
SEXUAL WISDOM
Our relationship to sexuality and intimacy is relevant to our birthing practices. What is our legacy of sexual
wisdom? Are we using the creative force as a path to the Divine, as was intended?
We will discuss orgasm, multiple orgasm, Cosmic Orgasm and our birthright in achieving these realms of
sexuality and how this informs our caregiving. ‘It is an act of great spiritual power to assert that our creative
needs be met.’
ELDERSHIP AND CREATING WIN/WIN SITUATIONS
As caregivers we have begun training for Eldership, regardless of our age or experience. What are the
qualities of the Elder, the Matriarch, the Peacekeeper? Let’s delve into our future role and share the skills
for holding balance in ourselves, our communities and for the planet. We’ll learn techniques for Conflict
Resolution, Peacekeeping and Creating Win/Win Situations.
During these four months we discuss birth from the perspective of the mother, the midwife, the doula, the
birthing family and the other caregivers involved. We are all working together to create authentic and
fulfilling experiences in bringing forth life on our planet.

The cost of the series is $600.
Participants will receive a certificate from The Matrona validating 60 hours of study in Holistic Midwifery.
Also, a Doula certificate will be awarded for all interested participants.
