The Matrona offers certification for holistic doulas. Requirements are individualized,
and will be based on each person's unique journey as a doula. Some sample
requirements are listed below. Please contact Whapio by phone or email if you are
interested in obtaining certification as an MCHD (Matrona Certified Holistic Doula).
Sample Requirements for Certification
* Attend all four weekends of a Matrona Holistic Doula
Training series
* Complete required reading
* Listen to and view five required audios, video tapes and/or DVDs
* Provide labor, birth and postpartum support to three women/families
- You must do a minimum of 3 postpartum visits
and will be based on each person's unique journey as a doula. Some sample
